SystemSoft Project - Stanag 5066

Stanag 5066 is a NATO standard data communications protocol that defines system-system communications over variable speed, low quality, data links.

SystemSoft worked with early implementation development and initially shipped a drivers for Linux and Microsoft Windows NT4 that allowed the Comtrol Gmbh (http://www.comtrol.co.uk) Synchronous ISA card to be used in Stanag 5066-compliant systems.  Subsequent Windows NT4 - hosted developments allowed use of Stanag 5066 protocols via PCMCIA (i.e. Laptop) and PCI (Desktop/Server) cards.

In 2005, SystemSoft shipped Stanag 5066 drivers for the complete range of Comtrol synchronous cards (ISA, PCI and PCMCIA) and supporting both the Microsoft Windows 2000 and Windows XP operating systems.

The drivers extend the availability of ASYNC-lookalike but SYNC-mode efficiency to up-to-date, supported, operating systems.

Designed as a base upon which system integrators can construct full Stanag 5066 compliant communications packages, the drivers are in active use with several Globally-known systems intergrators..
